Benchmark
A standard test used to compare AI models on the same set of tasks, such as maths, coding or reading. It helps you compare, but says little about how a model will do on your own work.

The cutting capacity on a machine's spec sheet: handy for comparing, but you still try it on your own timber.
In your business
A model may top a coding benchmark, but what matters to a bed maker is how well it answers Dutch customer questions about mattress sizes, so test that too.
