Watermarking
A visible or hidden mark in AI-made images, video, audio or text that shows AI was used to make it. The EU AI Act requires makers of AI tools to build such marks in.

The maker's stamp burned into the underside of a chair: it tells you where the piece came from, even once the label is gone.

A furniture maker who uses AI-made mood images on the website labels them as such, so no customer mistakes them for photos of real pieces.
